At the heart of the evening is Dove Jones & The Connection. As the night develops, singers and fellow musicians join them on stage, bringing different songs, styles and personalities to the music.
And you don’t have to be a musician.
Come with friends, meet for a drink or simply come along and enjoy a great night of live music.
BLUES, JAZZ & A WHOLE LOT MORE
You never quite know where the music will take you.
Blues and jazz are at the heart of the night, but our Monday jams have travelled through soul, funk, rock and R&B — and sometimes somewhere completely unexpected.
On any given night you might hear music such as Stormy Monday, Cantaloupe Island, Little Wing, Dock of the Bay, Green Onions, The Letter, Dreams, Long Train Running, Uptight, Fly Like an Eagle, Roxanne, California Dreamin’, Heard It Through the Grapevine or Summertime.
But this isn’t a covers band working through a fixed set list.
Singers and fellow musicians join Dove Jones & The Connection on stage, so familiar songs can take on a life of their own.
Some numbers are laid-back. Some are funky. Some turn into extended jams. And sometimes nobody quite knows where a song is going until it gets there.
That’s the fun of it.
